Why this library exists

I'm Amy, and I run this library. Amy is the name I use here. I keep my full name private so the site stays about the information, not about me.

Limb lengthening is a major, life-changing surgery, so I spent a long time researching it. Along the way I kept running into the same problem. Much of what I found was clinic marketing, and even communities that once felt neutral seemed to be forming ties with clinics. I also saw how easily a serious decision can rest on incomplete or wrong information when patients only talk among themselves.

This library is my attempt at something different. It organizes medical literature, official public information, and provider-stated facts so you can weigh options, risks, and open questions before talking with qualified professionals.

Independence

Provider records summarize what each provider has documented. They are not endorsements or outcome guarantees, and the comparison is not a ranking. It is there to help you see which setting may fit your own situation.

How it runs without revenue

A careful reference library usually costs money to run, and that money usually comes from ads, referrals, or sponsors. That is exactly the kind of influence this site exists to avoid. Instead, I keep running costs low by using AI tools for drafting, formatting, translation, and quality checks. That is what makes it possible to run the library without earning anything from it.

AI tools are never treated as sources.

• Sources are gathered, claims compared, and uncertainty recorded before anything is written.
• Every factual claim must stay traceable to the sources listed on its page.
• Each final page is reviewed before publication.
• A page has not had independent medical review unless a named reviewer and their credentials are shown on that page.
