Bone density
The amount of mineral content per unit area or volume of bone.

Definition
Bone mineral density estimates mineral content using a defined imaging method. DXA usually reports areal density, while other methods can assess volumetric density or structure. Density is one component of bone health and is not identical to bone quality, strength, or the ability of distraction regenerate to form. [1]
