Definition
Bone stimulators deliver low-intensity pulsed ultrasound or electrical or electromagnetic energy. Published evidence differs by fracture, osteotomy, delayed union, nonunion, device, and study design. Use during limb lengthening is not a universal consolidation protocol and should not delay evaluation of infection, instability, malalignment, poor regenerate, or another correctable cause. [1][2]
