Definition
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are pain and inflammation medicines with drug-specific bleeding, kidney, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and interaction considerations. Human evidence on bone healing is mixed and depends on indication, drug, dose, duration, and study design. Do not stop, start, or substitute an NSAID without the treating and prescribing teams' medication plan. [1]
