Definition

A scanogram is a full-length radiograph taken while the patient stands, providing accurate measurements of individual bone segment lengths and overall limb alignment. It is a standard pre-operative imaging study in limb lengthening, used to calculate the exact lengthening amount needed, assess proportions, and plan the osteotomy location.
